Update: I gave away a Vintage Teacup from my Collection!

Update: we have a winner! This teacup is headed to Heide of Naperville, Indiana! Thank you to everyone who entered for playing along. I think I’ll do this again soon!

Original post:

Yes! You read that correctly, I’m giving away a vintage teacup from my collection.

This teacup to be exact.

It’s a lovely Noritake cup and saucer with a grey, pale blue and silver pattern called “Valerie” on delicate white bone China that first belonged to my neighbor’s mother and now belongs to me and I’m going to give it to one of you.

All you have to do to be entered to win this teacup is to make a comment here, or on Facebook, or on Instagram, or send me a private or public message, a tweet, an email, by other social media, carrier pigeon, or smoke signal saying:

“I want to win that vintage Noritake teacup!”

I will put your entry that says, “I want to win that vintage Noritake teacup!”, into a teapot shaped hat (yes, I have one of those) and next week, on March 11th, 2018, (and, to be completely fair, I’ll find someone else besides myself with opposable thumbs) will pull the winning name out of the teapot hat.

The fine print:

I have only one vintage Noritake “Valerie” teacup to give away, it is the one pictured above, so there can only be one winner. The teapot hat stays with me and is not included. To enter; if you have a mailing address anywhere in the world that I can send this teacup to if your name is pulled out of the teapot hat then you may enter. I will limit multiple entries to one entry per day per person/account starting now and continuing until the contest ends at noon PST on 03/11/2018. The winner will be announced here on my blog on Monday 3/12 and I will contact the winner to get the shipping address, etc., if they do not get in contact with me first!

  3. I love all the teacups you have been sharing with us. It is a nice nod to bygone years, and a reawakening of the need to bring those special times back to our daily lives. Its time to have a cuppa.
