SAVORY BREAKFAST RICE BOWLS: Good Any Time of Day!

My savory breakfast rice bowl. This bowl has a base of brown basmati rice cooked in homemade bone broth, baked sweet potato, small cucumber, spicy sprouts, half an avocado, fermented hot sauce, and a fresh (from the coop) egg cooked in avocado oil. The bowl ingredients are dressed in lemon juice, soy sauce, and a dash of toasted sesame oil. Seasoned with sesame seeds, salt & freshly ground pepper.

Making my own savory rice bowls utilizes things that I grow and gives me satisfaction beyond just eating a delicious meal.

I don’t like sweet breakfasts. So much so, that sweet foods, in the morning especially, make me feel queasy and I lose my appetite. Growing up I thought that I didn’t like breakfast, but I was wrong. I like a savory breakfast any time of day!
