Mourning the loss of Tasha Tudor

In case you have not heard, Tasha Tudor, Artist, Illustrator, author, homestead bon vivant and philosopher, died today. I really miss her already. Even before I learned of Tasha’s passing, I have been listening to an audio tape she made about her life and work and her voice is in my memory now as I write. It is in this tape that I learned that she grew a shirt for her brother…meaning she grew flax from seed and learned from a Canadian woman how to spin it into thread, that thread was used to then weave linen cloth, that she cut and sewed into a shirt for her brother. She said it took her 3 years to go from the seed to the shirt. Amazing! I want to grow a shirt.
Love, Karen
