July 2 Ireland

Spent day @ Bunratty – a castle & living history museum. We saw thatched cottages. Watched cooks make enormous apple pies & soda bread. Saw a glorious walled garden & ended day having a traditional
Irish meal of lamb stew or salmon & irish dancing, stories I music. Our Farm B&B tonight overlooks sheep & horses grazing & beyond, out to river Fergus, tributary of river Shannon. when I arrived was greeted by "Sam" a rough (& tumble) collie -a scruffy version of my own lad at home.
