Herb & Flower Tea Things I used on TV

I like to make tea from the herbs and edible flowers that grow in my garden.

I have been doing this for many years and have perfected a personal method that is both beautiful and tasty. I use a salad spinner to wash the fresh herbs and flowers that I pick and a glass teapot with an infuser insert to brew the tea and an electric kettle to boil the water. Everyday the tea is deliciously different because the herbs and flowers are seasonal and as such I pick different herbs and flowers each time. It’s something only home gardeners can make, you won’t be able to get this tea out at a restaurant. That is just another reason to grow herbs – to be able to brew this kind of fresh, beautiful, delicious tea for yourself and your family and friends.

For this pot of tea, from my organic garden, I used Sweet Lavender, French Lavender, Twickle Purple Lavender, Rosemary, Sweet Bay, Calendula, Basil, Pink and Yellow Roses, Kaffir Lime Leaves, Mint-the-Best, Cleveland Sage, Nasturtium and Rose Hips.
