I inherited a large stash of tee shirts when my husband passed away in 2014 and I’ve spent the last few years making things with the shirts and giving them new life. This was after giving many of his shirts away and donating other shirts to charity. The latest thing I’ve made from an old tee shirt is an easy to make, no-sew reusable shopping bag.
For this edition of the #cocktailoftheweekend I tested wedding drinks all weekend with the bride and groom and family. Drinks that I’ll be serving at their fall wedding later this year. To “go the drinks testing distance” I made myself a terrific sandwich! & I wanted you to know . . .
I am not a beauty blogger. This seems very apparent to me but am mentioning it just in case! Keep that in mind as you read about my morning routine and my medicine cabinet. There’s more to feeling good about yourself than lipstick but lipstick helps!

Three years ago, a few weeks after my husband’s death in September, we had his memorial service at our/my house on a hot and dry Southern California Fall day in early October. So many of our/my dear friends and family took care of everything, (and I mean everything!) in organizing, preparing and pulling off the enormous job of a memorial service at home. It was a massive undertaking and they all, to a person, did a magnificent job.
