11 girl cousins get-together, outside, socially distanced, catching up after long separations that the pandemic made even longer. I try to be organized about the #dailyshotofwhiskeykitty posts but after more than four straight years of this, amounting to well over 1500 posts, I have given up on any kind of organization. I feel glad to just post something these days, anything that has my cat in it. So, if you see repeats, that’s why. I will still try to post fresh material or older material with a fresh slant but I am not going cuckoo over it anymore. If I post the same pic let’s all hope at least it’s one of the good ones! That said, I think this one “might” be new 💁🏼‍♀️ but I have no clue really. I get this look from her a lot and it means she was just chastised for getting into the compost bowl in the sink while my back was turned and spreading greens around a clean kitchen. Yesterday I gave my first in-person garden talk in a year and a half. It was wonderful after 18 months of just zoom. And it was a beautiful day for a Herb of the Year™️ presentation too! 25 ladies sat comfortably in a very large back yard with plenty of social distancing while I discussed Parsley and other herbs o’the years in the shade of a lovely old avocado tree in Tustin, CA. I served the attendees parsley tabbouleh, lavender lemonade, edible flowers tea and herbes de Provence deviled eggs, all seasoned with the Herbs of past Years. What a joy to be with people again. If your garden club or organization is interested in a HOY presentation, let’s talk! In-person or on zoom, whatever meets the needs of your group, I would love to share the flavors and fragrances of herbs with them.
