It was cold. I lit the fire. I pulled the wingback chair up close. I got a stool for my new book. The book is incredible! A copy of Jane Austen’s Persuasion by @chroniclebooks with actual written hand folded letters inserted throughout the text. Extraordinary! The sun was up so I could read easily and enjoy fully my new book. I went to the kitchen to make tea… came back to Whiskey Kitty making herself to home in my chair! Even Devon couldn’t move her. That face. Bet you’ve missed it . . . My life has changed so much in the last year and I no longer need to have my phone surgically implanted in my hand like it was in years past in order for me to care for my late mom. So, more and more, when Whiskey Kitty gives me iconic 😼 dirty looks these days - which she does almost hourly, I hardly ever have my phone with me to take a picture of her when she does. It’s been a lovely break lately from the phone and social media but I’ve missed you. I’m trying to find a balance with my new normal and settle into a comfortable routine with tech and posting.
