Inaugural Bloomsday entry

My friend, a gardener extraordinaire & artist, periodically sends out an email with a collage of flower photos she has taken that day. It is called "what’s in bloom in my yard today" and it is always awe-inspiring. Well, I am not an artist and making a collage is beyond my skills but taking pictures is not. I decided to skip the collage part and blog some pictures of my blooming plants. I had a grand time this beautiful February morning strolling the yard with my camera in search of blossoms. Only a few of the

pictures I took were usable but next time I hope to have more to show you. Still, it is a pretty good show for a wintry California day, don’t ya think?    ?

These pictures are of calendula, the current ’08 "Herb of the Year" (www.iherb.org), celery scented geranium, Goodwin creek lavender, "house" daisy, king Alfred daffodil, lavatera, miss Jessup rosemary, nasturtium, pineapple sage and twickle purple lavender. Some of the pictures that did not come out were of dorsett golden apple blossoms, marshwood lavender, shadow dancer rose, "house "strawberry and more. See what you have to look forward to when you visit my blog again and I have celebrated another bloomsday? If you want to see your yard on any given day with new eyes just go for a stroll with your camera and you’ll be amazed at what you will find.
